I attended my first appointment with the new team at the beginning of August. I had issues with build up under my gumline, inflammation of my gums and I've struggled with bleedi g gums when brushing and flossing since a teenager and never has been resolved. The Dentist gave me fantastic advice and detailed tips on how to clean my teeth and to change my toothpaste and mouthwash. He set up a treatment plan and explained in great detail what the end results we are aiming for. 5 weeks on and my gums do not bleed, they are less swollen and almost back to normal. I have one check up left to see how everything is. 1 lesson I have learnt, is that it takes alot longer than two minutes to clean your teeth properly. If you follow the advice you are given to the letter, with the treatment and oral care at home, your teeth and mouth will be alot healthier for it. If you are an anxious patient, I would recommend this practice as the team put you at ease and they will talk you through everything and stop should you need them to. My whole family attend this practice and I wouldn't go anywhere else. There is a dental plan available and I would recommend that you enquire. People say private dentists are expensive, but it's a cost I'm willing to pay for as you Nedd a healthy mouth and good teeth for your entire life.read more

Ok so for the last 10-20 years I've been a total whimp! Every year ir so I would get horrid pain in one of those pesky wisdom teeth. I'd go to the Dr's and get antibiotics and swear that "this year I'm having that tooth taken out". I never did. The pain would go and I'd feel better and think that it would be ok now. I never got the guts to get anything done. This time around (and at the suggestion of my darling husband James Farquharson) I called my dear friend Varun at National Dental. Now, I'm not good with dentists or pain and I do my best to fuse my spine with that upie-downie chair; but Varun was brilliant.Hes a great bloke and works hard, but this I knew already. This was the first dental work he had performed on me. I did not feel a thing it was amazing! I was so relaxed because Varun had talked to me about what needed doing (and he did not remove the tooth) and set out the options clearly and calmly. His staff are great, knowledgeable and friendly. I wont be going anywhere else for my treatment. Thank you Varun Singh Barath and the team at National Dental in Dorchester.Stitches out in 2 weeks. Cant wait!Ok additional. 1 week later and the stitch came out on it's own (I think I swallowed it)!! Its all fixed and I'm very confident that, after a years of hassle I will now ne pain free.read more

I have just had most of my teeth extracted and new dentures fitted at national dental in dorchester. As a dentist phobic I was dreading this, but the whole process has been amazing. From the start I was put at ease, told every prossess that would take place and treated with respect and kindness by all members of staff there. The extraction was painless, I walked out with new teeth and have just been to have them adjusted. I can now smile for the first time in years, eat without pain and feel very confident about being in public. I would highly recommend this dental practice, and would like to thank them for their care, kindness and professionalism.read more

I highly recommend National Dental Dorchester. I had an emergency my tooth had broken in half and I contacted them, I got an appointment the same morning. The receptionist was really kind and helpful. I saw Dr Barath and he was so informative and guided me through with such detail of what treatment I needed. With no hesitation I asked him to resolve my dental issue. Fantastic professionalism and high standards which made me feel at ease. I have now signed up with them for my future consultations.read more
